WHO IS ASKYE?!?!?

HI!!! My name is ASKYE and I don't speak OR show my face on social media...

If you google me you will see that my music is spreading like wild fire all over the world right now...

In fact. I'm reaching MORE and MORE beautiful human beings on the daily and it feels like such a dream. It IS a dream. Something i've dreamed about my whole life is now becoming my reality.

It started when I was a little girl...

I knew I was different. I had this "bug" in my head telling me that I was going to be a global sensation for music. Seriously. I grew up singing at all the talent shows, all the home coming games, and I was really just known for my singing.

When I sing, I just feel so ALIVE. Like EXTREMELY alive.

I didn't finally start making my OWN music until I was well in my 20's...

I guess there is "timing" behind everything as I still think about the "would if i would have started 5 years earlier than I did" but then I remember that divine timing is ABSOLUTELY real and I wouldn't be where i'm at today if my journey had gone any other way...

Fast forward to today and i'm now building up my OWN cataloug of music that I get to share with beautiful humans all over the world...

The beautiful thing about my journey is that anyone who is following me today, gets to see me evolve more and more into my art. My sound is changing, i'm "finding myself" in the music, and overall just keep evolving with my sound.

I have music currently out on all platforms right now that I made 3 years ago when I was first starting out and as much as I want to take it down because i've evolved TREMENDOUSLY as an artist, I know that I have some die hard fans who stream my old music and LOVE it, so it's staying up.🥰

I don't have ANY label, or ANY team helping me so all of this music is independently distributed by ME...

"But ASKYE!!! Why don't you speak or show your face?!?"

So here is the deal...

prior to making music, I was HEAVY into the fitness scene. I still AM. However I had to make some changes if I wanted to turn myself into a full time pop star. So I did just that.

While I was big into the fitness scene I had millions following me for FITNESS. I had 1.7million followers on Tik Tok, over 400K on instagram, and about 150K on Facebook...

"so ASKYE!! What did you do with those accounts since you stopped showing your face?!?"

I DEACTIVATED them.😌

I say that confidentially because thats right... i started over fam, and starting over is OKAY. I wasn't truly happy doing the fitness content full time and though I tried to dabble introducing my music interests to those fitness fans, it just didn't feel right because most of my audience was MEN following me for my BODY and I knew they wouldn't give a F about my music. No hate and no shame on them, that's just how it was truly and honestly.☺️

My music means so much to me and literally is something so sacred, intimate, and coming right from my SOUL...

It just felt weird forcing it upon people who ultimately were following me for something other than music.

So after months of strategizing and figuring out how I could make it work on my huge platforms for fitness, I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and completely rebrand. 🙏

The first year of my music journey I wasn't on social media at ALL. I deactivated all of my accounts and focused on recording.

Once I got my first cataloug I decided it was time to make some new social media accounts..

This time around...

I wanted to be HEARD and not SEEN. So that is EXACTLY what I did.

I started over.

and I feel SO much better.

Fitness IS still a HUGE part of my life though. I've been a certified personal trainer for YEARS and I specialize in weight loss for WOMEN. That is why I decided to create a BLOG so that I could share my knowledge and passion for health and fitness via the internet.

However, music is my main "baby" and I now have an audience that loves listening to me and not just looking at me...LOL.
